Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein reports that the Town’s Human Resources Department is seeking applicants for lifeguard and gate keeper positions.

Completed applications and relevant materials for both positions should be emailed to hr@swanseama.gov or returned in person to the Board of Selectmen’s Office, 81 Main St. Interviews for both positions are expected to begin at the end of April.

Lifeguard

This is a seasonal position working mid-June until Labor Day. Current lifeguard training and certification are required. Successful candidates must be able to respond quickly, calmly and efficiently to emergencies. Prior experience, preferably in a town or municipal beach setting, is preferred.

Gate Keeper

This is a seasonal position working mid-June until Labor Day. Gate keepers will sell daily beach tickets and verify beach stickers. Successful candidates must be detail-oriented, fast, accurate and responsible. Experience handling money is preferred.

Applicants must be at least 16 years of age. Prior experience, preferably in a town/municipal beach setting, is preferred.
