Residents are encouraged to tune in to the Swansea Community Network’s “Meet the Candidates Night” ahead of the upcoming Annual Town Election.

WHAT:

The Swansea Community Network is hosting a “Meet the Candidates Night” open to all unopposed and opposed candidates running for town office. Multiple offices/seats up for election this year have multiple candidates, including Selectmen, Assessor of Taxes, School Committee, Diman Regional School Committee, Community Preservation Committee and Housing Authority. The “Meet the Candidates Night” will allow residents to learn more about and hear from candidates ahead of the April election.

The Annual Town Election will be held on Monday, April 8. Polls will be open from noon to 8 p.m. at Joseph Case High School. Early in-person voting will take place at the Swansea Town Hall, 81 Main St., from April 1-3. The last day to register to vote in the Town Election is Friday, March 29 by 5 p.m. and the last day to submit Vote-by-Mail applications is April 1 by 5 p.m.
