Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein would like to invite community members to attend a festive evening of fun at the Town of Swansea’s upcoming Trunk-or-Treat event.

WHEN:

Saturday, Oct. 29 from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Joseph Case High School, 70 School St.

WHAT:

The Town of Swansea will once again be hosting a spooky, family-friendly Trunk-or-Treat event in celebration of Halloween.

The Halloween festivity will include a Trunk-or-Treat event with numerous community partners. During this event, families will have the opportunity to go from car to car and receive candy, small toys or other items as they would when they normally go trick-or-treating.

In addition to trick-or-treating, the event will also feature candy and a showing of the movie “Frankenweenie” for all to enjoy.

Children and families are encouraged to get into the Halloween spirit and wear their costumes.

Parking will be available at the Swansea Memorial Park and a hayride will also be available to shuttle people to and from.

Get Involved

Local businesses, organizations and community members are encouraged to sign up to decorate their cars for the Trunk-or-Treat event. Last year, 37 cars participated in the event and the Town hopes to have an even greater turnout this year.

To sign up to decorate your car and be part of the event, email the Swansea Recreation Commission at recreation@swanseama.com.

“Last year we held a similar event in celebration of Halloween and we had a great turnout,” Town Administrator Aronstein said. “We hope to have yet another great event this year and look forward to seeing our residents come together to celebrate Halloween. Anyone interested in volunteering to decorate their cars is welcome to do so and should contact the Recreation Department.”

The event is sponsored by the Swansea Recreation Department.
