SWANSEA  一  The Town of Swansea would like to invite residents to attend the upcoming community night to meet the three chosen finalists for the Swansea Public Schools Superintendent position.

WHEN: 

Monday, Feb. 12, from 6-7:30 p.m.

WHERE:

Hoyle Elementary School, 70 Community Lane, Swansea

WHAT:

Join the Town of Swansea and the three candidates, Scott C. Holcomb, Craig J. Levis  and Robert F. Silveira on Monday night. There will be three locations throughout the school; one for families/community members, one for staff, and one for students.

Each session will have a School Committee member and/or Superintendent Search Committee member present. The sessions will be 25 minutes long and each of the three candidates will rotate through sessions to meet all in attendance.

At the end of each session, attendees can fill out a survey form to provide feedback to the School Committee about the three candidates. Those who are unable to attend the Community Night may submit questions for the finalists to Eric Graham at egraham@swanseaschools.org.

The Superintendent Search Committee voted for the following three finalists to move forward:

Scott C. Holcomb

Holcomb currently serves as the principal of Taunton High School, having held the position since 2021. He previously served as Superintendent of Schools in North Attleborough. Holcomb’s previous positions include Assistant Superintendent, High School Assistant Principal and Teacher. He earned a master’s degree at Bridgewater State University and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (CAGS) from Boston College and is enrolled in an Education Doctorate program at the University of New England.

Craig J. Levis

Levis currently serves as an Educational Consultant. He is the former Superintendent/Assistant Superintendent of the Coventry Public Schools in Rhode Island. Levis has also held the positions of Director of Special Education, Supervisor of Special Services and Special Education Teacher. He earned a master’s degree from Rhode Island College and is enrolled in an Education Doctorate program at Northeastern University.

Robert F. Silveira

Silveira currently serves as the principal of Joseph Case Junior High. He has served in his current position since 2010. Silveira has also served the Swansea Public Schools as Assistant Principal and Science Teacher, as well as a Science Teacher at Tiverton High School. He earned a master’s degree from Bridgewater State University and a CAGS Degree from Fitchburg State College.
