Director of Veterans Services Kevin Serpa would like to invite community members to attend Swansea’s annual Veterans Day Ceremony.
WHEN:
Friday, Nov. 11 beginning at 10 a.m.
WHERE:
Veterans Memorial Green on Gardners Neck Road
In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held at the American Legion Post #303, 73 Ocean Grove Ave.
WHAT:
Swansea’s ceremony to honor veterans is sponsored by the American Legion Post #303, VFW Post #2045 and Swansea’s Veterans Services.
The ceremony will include a traditional wreath placing and a demonstration by the Color Guard, followed by several presentations.
Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein will read the winning essay from the Case Junior High School’s essay contest, “What Veterans’ Day Means to Me.”
