Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein is pleased to announce that Swansea residents are now able to obtain permits online.

Residents can click here to visit the online permitting page, or click the “E-Permitting” button on the homepage of the Town of Swansea’s official website.

The e-permitting software, PermitLink, can be accessed online 24 hours a day. To access the e-permitting software, community members must create an account through PermitLink.

Once an account is created, community members will be able to apply for permits from the Building Inspector, Board of Health, Planning Board, Conservation Commission, Highway Department, Water Department and Tax Collector on this site. Available permits include building, alterations/renovations, signage permits and more.

Users will be able to log back in whenever needed to apply for additional permits. Supporting documents can be uploaded and attached as needed as well. Permit payments can also be made on this site.

“We are pleased to offer this new modernized approach to our permitting process here in Swansea,” Town Administrator Aronstein said. “We encourage residents and contractors to take advantage of this new convenient resource to streamline permitting.”

Those who still wish to apply for a permit in person can do so by visiting the electronic permitting kiosk at the Building Department, 68 Stevens Rd.

Anyone who has questions about the online permitting process can contact the Building Department at 508-674-5731 Option 1.
