Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein, Police Chief Marc Haslam and Fire Chief Eric Hajder are pleased to announce that the town and its police and fire departments have been working with John Guilfoil Public Relations to develop a brand-new news and events portal and two public safety websites to help citizens access town-related news, resources and more.

The town’s news and events portal, swanseaportal.com, features a modern look and accessible design, with multiple user-friendly and resource-oriented features including information about the town; public safety departments such as police, fire and DPW; Board of Health and COVID-19 news, and upcoming events.

The town’s site also features links to the Town of Swansea’s official Facebook and Twitter accounts, and visitors will be able to subscribe to the site so that updates are automatically emailed to them when posted. Residents are encouraged to utilize the email subscription to stay up-to-date with all of the latest town news.

Community members can also view a photo gallery of images of the Town of Swansea on the news and events portal in addition to the Town of Swansea’s Instagram account.

The site also includes direct links to the Swansea Police and Fire Department’s new public safety websites. Both websites include information about their respective department, safety resources and more.

Residents can visit the Swansea Police Department’s new website now at swanseapolice.com. The Swansea Fire Department’s website is currently in development and will be coming soon. Additional information about the fire department’s site will be shared when available.

“We’ve been working on increasing our communication of local news and events with members of the public,” Town Administrator Aronstein said. “These sites will serve as a conduit of information, ensuring that community members are kept up-to-date on all that is happening in town, including with our Police and Fire Departments. We hope everyone takes advantage of this resource and subscribes to our news through the email notification feature.”

The Swansea news and events portal was created by John Guilfoil Public Relations.
