Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein, Swansea Public Schools Superintendent John Robidoux and Public Health Nurse Emily Lachance are pleased to announce that the Town of Swansea has launched a COVID-19 dashboard to keep community members up-to-date with the town’s latest information regarding the pandemic.
“We are hopeful the dashboard provides an up-to-date snapshot of how COVID-19 is impacting our community,” Town Administrator Aronstein said. “Knowing the extent of the infection rate in our community comprises most of what we need to know to arm ourselves against continual spread.”
The Town of Swansea’s COVID-19 dashboard can be found online here, and it will be updated weekly.
The dashboard includes the monthly data for confirmed positive cases of COVID-19 within the Swansea Public Schools, the Town of Swansea’s weekly active cases, the total amount of confirmed and probable cases since the start of the pandemic and the total amount of Swansea and Somerset residents who have been vaccinated at joint clinics.
The data used for the dashboard is collected by the Swansea Board of Health. Data from previous weeks will also be viewable on the dashboard webpage.
“We are pleased to announce that the town’s number of weekly cases will be updated every Monday and Swansea Public Schools’ cases will be updated monthly on this dashboard,” Public Health Nurse Lachance said. “It remains our goal to be transparent regarding the number of COVID-19 cases within our community, and with this dashboard we will be able to remain committed to this goal.”
In addition to the COVID-19 dashboard, the Town of Swansea’s blog also features links to information about testing site locations and COVID-19 vaccine registration.
